Umeå kommun sends the police for political purpose?

January 20th, 2010 by mind

If you are Swedish, read this: http://blog.mmn-o.se/2010/01/19/polisen-raidade-mitt-kontor/

Basically what happened is that Mikael got raided by the police without a proper reason for suspicion of anything illegal. The stated reason was “Much traffic on an IP, probably a VPN tunnel” which is in no way, even remotely fucking imaginable, a reason for doing a police raid.

This smells like someone did not like the new political party that is gathering force. We will see if they actually find anything, which I doubt, but the whole thing smells. Very fitting that they do this just as our election campaign is starting up.

[Edit:]

Mikael himself thinks anyone who suspects this could be for political purposes is stupid. I guess I am stupid then, but I suspect he may be a bit bit too naive in this regard.

This is a complete outrage. This is blatant abuse of a corrupt system to try to silence someone you don’t like. The cops should’ve told whoever made the charge to fuck off and die, but since they’re part of the corrupt system they immediately obeyed like good stormtroopers should do.

    A complete outrage.

Icecore: Maybe the fact that police in general don’t know much about technology has something to do with that..
